Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival
Where? All Saints’ Church, Movers Ln, Brightlingsea, CO7
When? Saturday 10th December & Sunday 11th December, 10.00am – 6.00pm (last admission 5.15pm)
Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival has been a huge success since its first market in 2003, progressing onto bigger and better things, with a hundred trees to look at and local residents baking cakes, pies, scones, pastries and tarts to feed the crowds. There will also be a special Christmas Shop selling festive decorations, presents and edible goodies. Traditional mulled wine and hot chestnuts will be on sale too! Find out more information here.
Colchester Christmas Market
Where? Castle Park, High St, Colchester CO1 1UG
When? Friday 9th December – Sunday 11th December (Fri 11am-8pm, Sat 9am-7pm, Sun 10am-6pm)
Colchester Christmas Market will be held in the grounds surrounding the Castle, near to the High Street. There will be a funfair, street entertainers, live entertainment on a stage, bars, hot food and a relaxing seating area. Find out more information here.
Romford Christmas Market
Where? Market Place, Romford RM1 3ER
When? Wednesday 14th December – Saturday 24th December (9am – 4pm daily)
Romford traders and seasonal traders will be selling everything you need this Christmas, from decorations to food, to gifts and outfits. There will be stalls selling traditional roasted chestnuts and German sausages. There will also be an ice rink there this year, with seasonal craft activities for all the family to enjoy. Abberton Winter Wonderland Weekend
Where? Essex Wildlife Trust Abberton Reservoir, The Rows, Church Rd
When? Saturday 17th December – Sunday 18th December (10.00am – 3.00pm)
There will be plenty of stalls selling Christmas presents, stocking fillers and unique, handmade cards. Santa will be there in his grotto too with a present for you! Entry is free, but a £10 donation is required for visits to Santa. Find out more information here.
